The wind passed her as if she were running at light speed. Scavaging for food was one of the hard things for Mais family well whats left of it. All she knew was that her family could live without her for a couple of moons till she found a decent food supply.
At that moment a small dust cloud started to form at the edge of the horizon and it got closer and closer.''A Stampeid of Gazels!''She scampered for a place to lay low and attack. Silently she waited under a rock wedged in the earth with little space to squeeze in but if it meant food it would work out fine.
They were nearing the her presence and just in an instant she lashed out. Running at her full speed she mounted an adult sized Gazel. She tried to biting to bring him down but her weak jaw and baby sized teeth she fell off his back and the stampied of Gazels finished her off. Their feet running at full speed,the impact of their jumps against her body was like being stabbed with thousands of rocks.
After the rath of the Gazels stampeid she had no energy to stand or anything. She lie there broken and bloody, She thought,''What could have sent those Gazels running so fast?'' Then something caught her eye in the horizon moving quickly but no fast,'' what could it be?''
